Signature Flight Support pledges to manage our impact on and contribute positively to society and the environment through the delivery of our services and the conduct of our personnel. We recognize our responsibilities as a good neighbor and a member of the broader global community. We value the talent that each individual employee brings to Signature and believe that our people are key to keeping us ahead of our competition. We work to ensure that each of our employees works in a safe, secure and fulfilling environment. We make the health and safety of our customers and of our employees our top priority.
On The Ground
Signature supports local communities because we are a part of them and we know that we need to be as diverse as the communities we serve. We put these values into action, participating in many volunteer and community service programs at the local level. We engage with a multitude of wonderful organizations such as the Lone Survivor Foundation, Angel Flight, Veterans Airlift Command, Able Flight, Patient Airlift Services (PALS), and the Corporate Angel Network. Additionally, Signature values and protects the environment, installing electric vehicle chargers at several locations and introducing electric or low emissions ramp equipment as crew cars. In the last five years, we have spent $100 million towards eco-friendly facility design, construction, and operations to ensure that we are mindful of our duty to the local and global community.
Signature Flight Support is honored to partner with and support flight schools at many of our FBO locations. Santa Barbara-based flight school Above All Aviation is a standout among its peers, often training and hiring mechanics from within the local community and hosting charity events that teach underprivileged youth how to fly.
Able Flight was created by pilots to enable people with disabilities to learn how to fly. Signature knows that everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to fly and Able Flight gives people with disabilities the chance to challenge themselves and learn self-reliance.
The Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to veterans who were wounded in combat after 9/11. Combat wounded soldiers and their families can use the service for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. Signature is honored to support this worthy cause by flying these individuals in and out of our FBOs.
